Software Highlights:

Reduced Storage Requirements for Software Installation

The available storage requirement for installing software updates has been lowered to 1 GB. This change reduces the likelihood of encountering a “low storage” error that prevents installation. Bosch recommends periodically clearing files from your tablet to help prevent low storage issues.

Improvements for Unlocking VAG SFD

Several improvements have been made to the process for unlocking VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) SFD-protected vehicles and modules, based on feedback from users.

Scan Time Improvements

Multiple improvements have been made to reduce scanning times for several Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, VAG and Nissan vehicles.

VCI Connectivity Improvements

Additional improvements have been implemented to help ensure a reliable connection between the tablet and VCI, based on continued user feedback.

Bug Fixes

This update includes fixes for commonly reported software update issues:

• Resolved software updates getting stuck at “Installing 0%.”
• Added protection to prevent corruption during VCI power cycles.

New Software Features:

Version 7.6 introduces Remote Diagnostics Service (RDS) to the ADS 625X and ADS 10X Plus platforms. RDS connects technicians on demand with Bosch Diagnostics experts and OEM diagnostic equipment for OE-level diagnostic services, including scans, calibrations, coding and programming.

Version 7.6 also includes coverage improvements and bug fixes aimed at improving customer satisfaction.

Coverage Highlights:

• Improved VAG, Nissan and Hyundai-Kia coverage.
• Access to OE-level coverage through RDS for services not yet supported by ADS X aftermarket software, or where OEM-certified scans and reports are required.

Software Highlights:

Remote Diagnostics Service (RDS)

No additional hardware required! Use RDS on an ADS 625X or ADS 10X Plus tablet with the existing VCI to seamlessly connect to Bosch Diagnostics experts and OEM diagnostic equipment. RDS also offers on-tool chat support with Bosch agents to support you through the entire process.

Note: RDS requires software version 7.6 or higher and an active ADS X subscription. RDS services are charged on a pay-per-use basis.

RDS will be offered free during a promotional period through the end of October 2026.

Updated New Tool Registration Process

The new tool registration process has been updated to be more intuitive, including a more user-friendly Wi-Fi selection screen.

Improved Instructions for Dynamic Calibrations on Select GM EVs

Instructions displayed before beginning a dynamic (driving) ADAS calibration have been updated.

Improved Software Installation Failure Messaging

Software installation failure messages now provide more descriptive information in cases where the tool previously may have displayed only “Install Timeout.”

Continued Improvements to VCI Connectivity

Additional issues that could cause communication between the tablet and VCI to drop have been identified and fixed, helping improve connection reliability.

Version 7.5+ update includes a series of bug fixes aimed at improving customer satisfaction, including improved 10X Plus user experience and improved VCI connectivity performance.
